Named for Hatch, New Mexico the region where they originated Hatch peppers have a subtle spice and
tasty flavor. Wider and longer than a Jalapeno, their
heat level can be between 11,000 and 20,000
Scovilles. These medium walled crunchy, shiny
peppers grow 6-8" long by 1 ½" wide. This easy to grow productive plant yields dozens of peppers that start out green and mild maturing to red with a more complex spicier flavor. The complex, earthy flavor makes this a great pepper for frying, stuffing, roasting, salsas, salads or rice and beans.
